Young 88 – Vasco – March 2012 Published in April 05, 2012 Go! Vasco has been purchased by a young couple from Hobart in Tasmania. They are relatively new to sailing and plan to race her on the Derwent, where she will be competing against a small band of other Young 88’s. Getting the boat from Sydney to Hobart provided a few challenges – because of the additional cost of the ferry trip across Bass Strait if we trucked her down, the new owner decided to have a delivery crew sail her down. She left Sydney on a beautiful sunny Monday and was tied up safely in Tasmania before the end of the week, just in time for the new owners to enjoy her over Easter.
