  • Selling our Lagoon 42 was always going to be a sad and stressful experience. We had originally purchased Sabella from Tim Vine at Yoti and had no hesitation in reacquiring his services for the sale. From the outset, and during the very trying months that followed, Tim and the staff at Yoti maintained a friendly, helpful and professional attitude to all demands, queries and setbacks. Just as we were in the final stages, the COVID-19 pandemic struck halting all overseas travel to conclude the final sea trial. A first ever implementation of the Force Majeure clause pushed the settlement to an indefinite future date. Tim rose to this challenge and encouraged the buyer to negotiate an as-is settlement which was readily accepted by us and the sale was concluded shortly after. We cannot express our gratitude enough for Tim’s persistence to see the sale through to completion through rough unchartered waters. John & Sandra McPherson, SY Sabella
  • When I recently decided to sell my yacht, I had no hesitation in contacting Tim Vine from YOTI. I had purchased the yacht through Tim several years ago and had been very impressed with his professional and helpful manner. Nothing was too much trouble. Fast forward four years, and from the initial inspection of the boat with Tim and Ian Greentree, through to the eventual sale, their professionalism could no be faulted. Ian was great to deal with, he understood that for me, this was a bitter/sweet moment and his “nothings a problem attitude” made the whole process that much easier. I have bought and sold four yachts over the years and I have no hesitation in saying that YOTI, is far and away the best broker that I have ever dealt with. Colin McDougall
  • Our aim when we put our boat on the market was to sell it for the highest possible price and quickly. The boat was 8 years old and in almost new condition. The reputation of the hybrid version was not so good as many boats had been re-engined. This boat was suited for cruisers looking for a reliable save sailing cat with lots of space. The reason we chose YOTI was their close Lagoon relationship with the brand and the effort that was put in promoting similar boats on their website. One of the directors, Tim Vine, took care of preparing a proposal and my first impression was good as speed and responsiveness was shown. After signing a contract for sole agency, Tim flew from Sydney to Airlie Beach to prepare the promotional information. Over a time period of 6 months we had regular updates and straight conversations about shown interest and possible buyers. No false hopes or salesman talk, just facts. Always communicating. A good sales person needs to qualify seller and buyer and focus on results, not wasting time on non-buyers. Tim and his team, I must say, ticked all the boxes. Professional nice people and knowing what Yacht brokerage is all about. We did get the best possible outcome and would recommend Tim and his team to anyone selling or buying a boat. Thank you Tim for a job well done. John and Mariet Pruim
