Born in Sydney, Tim has grown up around the waterways of NSW and has developed his love of sailing into a business passion. Tim began his sailing career racing and cruising in trailable yachts, then moving into keel boats when his family purchased their Northshore 38 “Sorceress”.

Tim has a wide range of experience in Yacht Sales and Brokerage having worked in Melbourne, Sydney and the South of England.
Tim’s strength lies in the fact that so many of his clients have become good sailing friends over the years.

Again, due to Covid we found it impossible to arrange a sale for one of them. Tim advised us that the market here in Australia was very strong and we should consider shipping her home. He helped us get in touch with a shipping company and stayed very helpful and positive for us. The end result was an excellent contract for our boat before the ship even unloaded!   • Selling our Lagoon 42 was always going to be a sad and stressful experience. We had originally purchased Sabella from Tim Vine at Yoti and had no hesitation in reacquiring his services for the sale. From the outset, and during the very trying months that followed, Tim and the staff at Yoti maintained a friendly, helpful and professional attitude to all demands, queries and setbacks. Just as we were in the final stages, the COVID-19 pandemic struck halting all overseas travel to conclude the final sea trial. A first ever implementation of the Force Majeure clause pushed the settlement to an indefinite future date. Tim rose to this challenge and encouraged the buyer to negotiate an as-is settlement which was readily accepted by us and the sale was concluded shortly after.
