Ross began his yachting career at the age of 19, and has spent the past 10 years working in the industry. He started out in the south of Spain as a deckhand, detailing and preparing yachts. From there, he moved to Greece where he worked as a Flotilla Skipper for two years, managing monohulls ranging from 32ft up to 52ft.
He then headed to the Caribbean, captaining private and charter catamarans up to 70ft. Ross later stepped into a senior operations role within a charter company, managing a fleet of luxury catamarans ranging from 52ft to 77ft. His responsibilities included guest relations, crew management, maintenance schedules, and charter logistics across multiple high end vessels.
Alongside his charter and management experience, Ross has completed numerous offshore deliveries as both Skipper and Mate. Most recently, he served as Mate/Engineer on an Oyster 595, completing a passage from Fiji to Antigua over 8 months via the Cape of Good Hope.
With over 50,000 nautical miles logged, Ross brings a wealth of hands-on experience, a practical understanding of vessel systems, and a strong grasp of owner expectations. His approachable nature, industry insight, and deep enjoyment of life on the water make him a trusted advisor and a valued member of the YOTI brokerage team.
