Hanse 495 – Huligan – January 2020

It was a whirlwind event with the survey, test sail, settlement and handover all done in a day. Her new owner and crew were keen to get on the water the following day to make the trip south to Hobart to Huligan’s new home.

I am please to report that after an incredible effort by everyone involved in the sale and preparation to get her ready to go, she made it safely to Hobart. We wish Tony and Ann Marie many happy days of enjoyment aboard Huligan.

Delphia 37 – Wywurri – January 2020

Delphia Yachts have a reputation for being superbly built with the ability to handle tough conditions. For her previous owner it was that attraction and knowing that he could sail her short handed almost anywhere. With that box ticked it was time to move on and plan for something new.

After some sensible negotiation, Wywurri was on her way to her new home at Port Hacking. We wish Ian and Denise many happy hours with family on their new yacht.

Bavaria 30 – B&B – January 2020

Watching from the shore, it was an emotional time for David and Linda seeing their Bavaria 30 B&B – which they have owned from new – motor off under the Rip Bridge for the last time. But in her place will shortly will be a brand new  Hanse 348 – with all the gear.

For first time boat owner Ed, it is the start of many hours of enjoyment with his young family on Lake Macquarie.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i – Impulsive – December 2019

Impulsive is a very neat Jeanneau 33i which we were lucky enough to have sold previously so we knew the boat well.

Her new owner wanted a well kept, easy cruiser with some performance, something that was ready to go and Impulsive certainly was the right find. Peter will keep Impulsive on Sydney Harbour where he’ll cruise with friends and may even get into some club racing. Well done Peter, glad we found the right fit!

Tartan 4100 – Spark – December 2019

Congratulations to Rob and family with the purchase of the stunning Tartan 4100 named ‘Spark’.

Rob had been enjoying sailing around the Pittwater waters, but it just wasn’t the same on someone else’s vessel. When ‘Spark’ came on the market, he was quickly convinced that this was the yacht for them.

Her new homeport is Bobbin Head Marina, literally just around the corner of YOTI HQ at The Quays Marina. We are all looking forward to seeing this beautiful, American built Tartan 4100 with her Awlgrip Navy Blue hull sailing past.

We wish Rob and family great adventures and safe passages.

Sydney 32 – Comes A Time – January 2020

‘Comes A Time’ is a familiar sight at the race circuit in Manly and her new owners are looking to continue the legacy. Sue is a very keen racer at RQYS and will be putting the Sydney 32 through its paces, looking to bring back the silverware this coming season. Marcel will initially be looking at the maintenance side of the vessel, with his eye on some small improvements.

We wish Sue and Marcel a great season and much enjoyment.

Hanse 400e – Saltair – December 2019

The Hanse 400e is one of our very favourite boats here at YOTI. They’re a quick, comfy and easy to sail yacht all in a magic 40 foot package. So it was a pleasure to sell the Hanse 400e Saltair.

Brian and Kim had sold an older style cruiser, something well built and beautiful but it was time to modernise. The Hanse 400e was a great choice because it ticks all the boxes for easy weekend sailing, twilight racing and cruising. Well done guys, great choice.

Hanse 320 – Baby Gita – December 2019

The Hanse 320 Baby Gita only lasted a few weeks on the market. This pocket cruiser showed off it’s impressive performance during the smokey test sail on Sydney Harbour.

Steve and Helen are both experienced sailors and appreciated the yachts features and ease of handling, all in a neat 32 foot package. Steve and Helen you made the process an absolute pleasure and we can’t wait to hear of your adventures hopping on the newly named ‘Kasmir’ up and down our beautiful coast line.

Schionning Wilderness 1650 ‘Sunchaser’ – December 2019

It’s not often we sell an Australian made Schionning, lying in Montenegro, for a New Zealander to a German couple! Thanks to a great group of clients that’s exactly what happened in a seamless and enjoyable manner.

Thanks to Peter and Lynne and Ute and Hermann in Germany for a great campaign and purchase!

Bavaria 40 ‘Longstaff II’ – November 2019

The immaculate Bavaria 40 “ Longstaff II” certainly gets around. From her initial ownership in South Australia, trips to Tasmania, Sydney and the Goldcoast, the vessel is now heading to the warmer waters of North Queensland.

Longstaff II has a simple but effective sail plan, with in mast furler, massive cockpit with ample shade and should make for a great cruising vessel and platform to explore the lesser visited cruising grounds.

Proud new owner Matthew is looking forward to putting her through her paces and use the East Coast for early trials. There are even plans to sail her to PNG and possibly explore some of the pristine waters of that area. We wish Matthew and family fair winds, great cruising and unbeatable memories.
