Secret Mens Business is a 1996 Murray 42 now listed exclusively for sale with YOTI Sydney Harbour.
Designed by Murray/Burns/Dovell, she was built in Port Adelaide by Bolton Yachts and was the first in a long line of highly successful racing yachts built for Geoff Boettcher under the Secret Mens Business banner.
Affectionately known as "SMB", she continues today as she started, bringing groups of people together connected by their passion for sailing, and for having fun while they're at it.
SMB was overhauled in 2002 with a new MBD keel and swept spreader carbon rig with short footed headsails and had a bow pole added in 2007. The current owner who purchased her in May 2018, has continued to optimise her to maintain her competitive edge.
Her sail wardrobe is extensive and includes a Hood GPL18 Offshore main (2021), a #1 Light, Hood #1 Heavy (moulded carbon 2022), #3 and #5 headsails. There is an array of both asymmetrical and symmetrical spinnakers including a brand-new Hood S2 and she comes with a Code 0 and new Spinnaker Staysail. There is a Garmin chart plotter, B&G wind, speed and depth instruments, Raymarine autopilot and she is in current CAT 1 safety.
