'Black Jack' is a 1999 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 that is now listed exclusively for sale with YOTI Pittwater.
Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 was first released to the public in 1998 and so successful was the design, with more than 1,000 yachts being built, that Jeanneau didn't make any real modifications until 2003 when they released 40.3.
Black Jack, is a 2-cabin owners version with an ensuite off the v-berth and a large primary head to port in the saloon. The L-Shaped galley has both a 160L, 12v top opening fridge (new in 2022) along with a large Waeco front load fridge. There is a two-burner gas stove and oven and twin basin stainless steel sink and a large, very comfortable "U" shaped dinette that also converts to a double berth.
On deck, the Sun Odyssey 40 is a great configuration for cruising. Her twin wheel set up was ahead of its time and provides clear passage to the transom and, there is plenty of room around her drop leaf cockpit table for entertaining.
Black Jack has been exceptionally well maintained and comes with detailed service receipts. She had new Bimini, Dodger and Link sheet fitted in 2021 and new boom bag and wheel covers fitted this year and in 2021 was fitted with an Enerdrive inverter, 2 x 150-watt solar panels with a Victron management system.
