Designed by Rod Johnstone and built by J/Boats, with only around 35 examples ever produced, the J/160 has earned an enviable reputation as one of the world's finest offshore performance cruisers. Combining exhilarating sailing performance with genuine bluewater capability and refined cruising comfort, it remains a yacht that experienced sailors actively seek out. 

That reputation continues today. Veteran offshore sailor Michael Spies, a 47-time Sydney Hobart competitor, recently described the J/160 as his "dream boat" after searching internationally to find the right one--a reflection of just how highly regarded this design remains. 
Salacia is a beautifully maintained example that has been continually upgraded while preserving everything that makes the J/160 so special. Advanced composite construction, an easily driven hull and low centre of gravity create a yacht that is light on the helm, balanced under sail and remarkably easy to handle for her size.
