Purnama is a 1989 GibSea 402 listed exclusively for sale with the YOTI team on Pittwater.
With attractive lines, the GibSea 402 is a solidly built yacht from arguably the home of production sailing yachts - the West Coast of France. GibSea's are known for their solid construction and sea going capabilities. In the owners words; Purnama 'is as solid as a rock and sails like a dream'. Purnama is Australian registered and has sailed in Asia, PNG, Timor and the East coast of Australia and is currently in Sydney Harbour. There are many new additions, new sails, new rigging, new instruments, new dodger and bimini, new furler and new sea cocks. There is a recent insurance survey report available.
This is a three double cabin layout with two heads. The real timber below deck is beautiful and reminds us of how boats should be built. The impressive galley sits to port opposite a generous forward facing nav station. The saloon area is big, inviting and comfortable and converts into an additional double berth or day bed. Purnama was repowered in 2006 with a Yanmar 40Hp shaft drive diesel. There is a Raymarine auto-pilot plus updated Raymarine instruments and a colour Garmin chart plotter in the cockpit. The cockpit is safe, secure and is protected by the bimini and dodger. There is a Muir electric windlass. Cockpit storage is massive in both side lockers and the lazarettes.
Purnama will appeal to those seeking for some old school solid style. The yacht would suit a live aboard, weekend escape machine or thanks to the long list of recent updates she is a cruise ready option.
