Designed by the renowned Simonis Voogd Design team and built in Germany by Dehler, the 44 SQ was conceived as a performance cruiser combining speed, excellent sailing characteristics and cruising comfort. Recognised for its structural quality, stiffness and ability to perform on the racecourse while remaining a capable cruising yacht. 

Gow Tow 3 benefits from a substantial programme of recent upgrades and improvements. Her hull was professionally wrapped in 3M blue metallic in 2026, while the carbon mast and boom were repainted in 2022 and rod standing rigging replaced in 2022.

The sail inventory has also been substantially upgraded, including a new full-batten mainsail in 2026, a new Furlex under-deck genoa furler in 2026, and a 2024 Quantum A2 asymmetric spinnaker. Other recent improvements include the Raymarine Quantum radar and Icom VHF, while the anchor windlass motor, batteries and tender with six-horsepower Mercury outboard are all new in 2026.

With twin carbon wheels, carbon rig, bulb keel, folding propeller, hydraulic backstay, Dyneema running rigging and a powerful sail plan, Gow Tow 3 offers the responsive sailing experience for which the Dehler 44 SQ is renowned. Below decks, the three-cabin, two-head layout provides cruising comfort, with a full-width saloon, teak joinery, well-equipped galley and generous storage. 

Importantly, Gow Tow 3 is not being presented as a boat where every item has been renewed. Some systems remain candidates for future attention, including the generator and watermaker. This allows a new owner to continue the improvement programme and tailor the yacht to their own cruising or performance ambitions.
