Lagoon 450S – ‘Oscar’ – October 2018 Published in November 18, 2018 Go! ‘Oscar’ is a late model Lagoon 450 with the offset steering, which Lagoon labelled “Sportop”. This is refreshed version of the incredibly popular Flybridge, has larger hull windows for more light in the cabins and a chine above the waterline to add volume to the forward cabins. ‘Oscar’ was only lightly used here on the Goldcoast, where she was meticulously maintained by a fulltime caretaker/skipper with a background in boat building. All this attention to detail was not missed by David, Retha and family, who came from Sydney to see and then trial her, on a brilliant sunny winters day. David with his two sons took ‘Oscar’ straight back to Sydney and reported a great run over a weekend. Keep an eye out of this immaculate Sportop version and say hello if you are a Lagoon fan!
