Sold by YOTI – From Impetuous Too to Dawn Patrol: A Sydney 36’s New Chapter

A very well-known Sydney 36, Impetuous Too, was very reluctantly put to market by the owner who commissioned her as a brand-new boat, back in 2006.

A Murray Burns and Dovell design, she’s widely regarded as one of the best models to come out of the Sydney Yachts factory, and has the racing pedigree to prove it having been successfully campaigned from the RSYS in Sydney for many years.

In need of a bit of a birthday to bring her back to her former glory, she needed a buyer willing to put in a bit of time and elbow grease.

Along came Ben. An experienced sailor and lover of a good project, Ben saw the potential in this beautiful boat and, upon being handed the keys, jumped straight into it.

Within an hour of handover, she was up on the hard, and the transformation was underway. An extensive job list was much smaller just 1 week later.

Renamed Dawn Patrol, she now calls Cronulla home, where Ben, his family and friends are getting her introduced into the local racing scene.
