Hamilton Island Race Week Roundup

David Burt from YOTI Race returns to the office today after a very successful racing campaign on the immaculately presented Hanse 505 of Chris and Lauren Thorpe, ‘Miss Minx’.

 
After a very tightly fought series, particularly with the another Hanse 445 ‘Charm Offensive’, chartered for the regatta by Chris McSorley (Lunacy), it all came down the last race. Miss Minx had to beat Charm Offensive by 2 or more places. Miss Minx did everything it could by being first over the line, however Charm Offensive came in 2nd over the line. So it now came down to corrected times…it was going to be close.

 
Finally the wait was over and the results published, Miss Minx beats Charm Offensive by 14 seconds. So we are then tied first but on a count back with a win on the last day, Miss Minx took out the series.
