Extraordinary Effort Published in May 31, 2016 Go! Jeremy, I am writing to thank you for the outstanding service you provided during my recent purchase of Hasta La Vista, a Dehler 32, through the YOTI office at Royal Brighton Yacht Club. When I first saw the advertisement for the yacht at YOTI’s Sydney office, it was just over a week prior to a long-planned overseas trip. You were able to organise an initial inspection at not much more than 24 hours notice, for which I was very grateful. Then during the negotiation period, you were pragmatic and effective in securing a price and ancillary conditions that satisfied both me and the vendor. The following week you organised the survey and recommended an excellent surveyor. Both of you dedicated the whole day to the survey task, including packing up the boat as I ran for a flight back to Sydney, a level of input I have never seen previously in several yacht purchases. But the extraordinary effort was still to come. You put me in touch with an excellent delivery crew, who sailed the yacht safely to Sydney over following weeks. But before they could leave Melbourne, I ordered a considerable amount of equipment to make the yacht ready for an ocean passage. You took delivery of all the equipment, made sure it was loaded on the yacht and generally prepared it for delivery. As I was overseas during the delivery passage you kept close touch with progress and kept me informed. In particular, when the yacht sought shelter in Refugee Cove for 4 nights and communication was not possible, you kept in touch with AMSA on weather conditions. Clearly you took the safety of the crew extremely seriously. All of this additional work you did without prompting and very professionally. I could not have asked for more. I am very happy for you to share these comments with others as you see fit and am happy to provide further information directly. Again, many thanks. – John Veale
