Dufour 405 GL – Mystique – January 2012 Published in January 21, 2012 Go! The new owners of ‘Mystique’ are a cruising couple from Queensland and will be very well known to members of the Shag Island Cruising Yacht Club – in fact Ken and Rhonda are the ‘grand poohbahs’. They have lived and cruised aboard their previous yacht for a number of years and their purchase of a Dufour 405 Grand Large represents a significant step up in comfort, performance, livability and sea-kindliness. ‘Mystique’ was only launched in March 2011 so for all intents and purposes was a new yacht. Regrettably, the previous owners had to put the boat on the market after only owning her for seven months. Ken and Rhonda were quite close to buying a new Dufour and fortunately for them, on a rainy day in December last year they decided to search the internet for more information on the boat they were going to buy and the Yoti web site popped up top of the list and they were introduced to ‘Mystique’. ‘Mystique’ will be heading north to her new home towards the end of the Sydney summer and we’re sure she’ll become a regular platform for sundowners and tall tales.
