Buying A Boat Overseas Published in September 25, 2014 Go! We bought an Oceanis 40 lying in Ibiza which was advertised by Sunbird Yachts (Mallorca and UK). All our dealings were with John Cowpe at Yoti at the Spit . We found him and Yoti exceptionally helpful, quick to reply to questions and very good on information and advice, with things like registration, survey etc. Nothing was too much trouble before or after the purchase. Buying a boat unseen from such a distance is a challenge but we were not disappointed about the yacht or the reception we got in Ibiza and we are now on our travels enjoying a dream.
