Peter Mactier

Peter Mactier Profile Peter joined a local sailing club on the Georges River as a youngster where he moved up through various dingy classes. After an early career in Horticulture, Peter took some time out to travel and discover new sailing experiences. This led to a deckhand position on a ketch in the Greek Cyclades where he recalls the most difficult yet most rewarding work he had ever experienced.

Various international yacht deliveries were to follow including a Trans-Atlantic and some shorter stints around the Med and the Caribbean.

Peter returned to Sydney where he became a professional skipper on the Harbour and was promoted through the company to become sales manager of the largest sailing school in the country.

Peter takes great pride in selling a sailing product and watching his clients improve their skills in a sport he loves. This passion for yachts and customer service led him to join the team at Yoti.

YOTI Pittwater

Dear Tim and John, We are writing to let you know just how fabulous we think Peter Mactier has been in assisting us very recently with the purchase of Solitaire, a Catalina 34 Mk11. Peter is expedient, professional and personable. He always replies punctually and he follows through on every query. He’s managed to help us immensely and has gone out of his way with every aspect of our purchase. We will have no hesitation to deal with him again or to recommend him to others in the future. His skills of course reflect very highly of Yoti and our congratulations extend to you as directors on having such a great employee.Greg and Kim Edmondson

As potential buyers, our experience with YOTI was noticeably different to other brokers. Peter at YOTI was one of the very few brokers that called us with new listings and put together a list of similar boats for us to consider. And, showed us over number possible boats after closing time on a Friday. Very impressive from a selling client’s view I would think and we really appreciated it. And on top of that provided info to assist further consideration of another unrelated yacht.

It seems that YOTI is prepared to put in the effort and assistance trusting that outcomes will eventually follow. Nice way to do business and live life generally. The sales videos are very helpful too from a potential buyer point of view, especially in the early part of the search process for first boat buyers. These also set YOTI apart from other brokerages after extensive internet searching. All in all, our brief encounter with YOTI was very impressive. Naturally this will be remembered when it comes time to sell too.Neil Hampton

Recently I sold my yacht Columbia 27 “Nicely Done” through Yoti at Quays Marina, Bayview. I write this letter to praise and say thank you to the whole team at Yoti but in particular Peter Mactier who handled the sale in a most professional and hassle free manner. Peter has won the respect of both buyer and vendor both of whom he treated even- handedly thereby winning the trust of both.

I realise this boat is at the lower end of the market within which you are normally engaged but I believe I could not have had more attention devoted to my sale if the vessel had been at the top end of the market. Peter went out of his way reassuring at all times and even delivering me to my boat and returning to pick me up on occasions to carry out maintenance when I had difficulty getting to the mooring. I was kept continually informed as to any interest or enquiry and I cannot fault the enthusiasm and attitude he displayed right throughout the entire process to a satisfactory conclusion. You may rest assured I will speak in the most positive terms whenever the opportunity arises when conversing with other boating people. Thanks to all concerned.Peter J Barnes
