Peter handed over the Hunter 37 to Paul and Alana on Pittwater today. After loading up the family car and driving over from Adelaide in one day, they spent their first night onboard at PRAYC. The next week will be spent completing checks and provisioning before heading south and back home to Adelaide.
Having a week off together is a rarity for these hard working South Aussies. Hopefully the boat will mean lots more time together with some well deserved tome away from the family business. Congratulations Paul and Alana and we wish you a fun and safe passage home.
It was a happy Handover Day recently for Peg-Leg Pete and Donna on board the Beneteau Oceanis 351 ‘Sabina’. The drizzle didn’t dampen our spirits and it was smiles all round. Peter and Donna will keep Sabina on Pittwater for now while they find their perfect mooring a little closer to home on Brisbane Water.

The owner of ‘Redoubt’, a Hanse 315 previously sold by YOTI, was moving overseas in a bit of a hurry so she had to be put on the market fairly quickly. Luckily Michael kept her in great shape, so once we confirmed a plan for our sales campaign and explained how the process would work with Michael overseas, we took her sailing. The shoot was all smiles with 10-15 knots while we played with the furling Code sail. These 315’s are so fun to sail!
After less than a week on the market, Shaun and Jo locked in an offer and moved ahead with a very successful survey and sea trial. They were familiar with the brand having sailed lots on a larger Hanse 445. Redoubt is a great fit for the young couples first yacht. We’ll look out for Redoubt tacking up the harbour with Roxy the friendly Poodle on the bow!
Congratulations to Dave on the purchase of the brilliant X35 ‘Hijinx’. Less than 24 hrs after taking ownership, John Connelly of YOTI in Manly was racing onboard Hijinx with Dave, to complete the Wednesday afternoon series at RQYS. Hijinx is lighting fast in lighter airs – so keep an eye out for top results.
Congratulations to father and Son Trevor and Rohan on purchase of the Hanse 355 Kemara. Trevor said “this is the best boat I’ve ever bought” and he’s owned more than six! It’s been a pleasure dealing with both of you and we hope you and the whole family have lots of fun times on board.
Here at YOTI we love that our Pittwater office often has such a local client base. Kemara will only move a few hundred meters from her current mooring.
The Hanse 375 ‘Carpe Diem’ was beautifully updated with recent rigging and new sails. The 375’s were a great performer while still offering the comforts and easy handling features that the the brand is known for. Carpe Diem is a well known yacht among the Sydney Hanse family being a regular at owners events and cruising functions out of Pittwater. We sold her for the original owners.
Now Daniel and Kelly take the helm to stretch Carpe Diem’s legs again. Thanks for a great test sail Daniel and for helping to make the process silky smooth as it should be. Congratulations to you both!

Congratulations to Lyndon and Vicki on the purchase of the 2003 Lagoon 380 ‘Saci’. This was a bucket list purchase for them and we were excited to welcome them to the Lagoon family.
Lyndon and Vicki plan on keeping ‘Saci’ on the Gold Coast for small trips to the Broadwater with their grandchildren. Next winter they’ll sail up to Airlie Beach to escape the cold!
Congratulations to Rowan on his purchase of the Dovell 43 ‘High Anxiety III’. This carbon hull machine is heading down to Victoria to compete in the local races and will turn some heads. The modified nature of the boat with its Farr 40 deck and vast amount of carbon will make ‘High Anxiety III’ a true competitor.

Having sold another Hanse previously for the owner of this 315, we knew how well kept this vessel would be. ‘Messeini Raumua’ was in simply excellent condition. She only lasted a couple of days on the market and was snapped up close to asking price after just one inspection. We completed a very thorough handover tailored to what the new owner wanted to focus on and assisted in delivering her to the new berth on Sydney harbour. Both the buyer and seller are very happy!

Coromandel was a neat Catalina 320. These yachts were the most successful cruising yachts of their size in history. The American builders built a couple of thousand of these surprisingly big pocket cruisers. Coromandel was a local boat which we matched up with local purchasers within days of us initiating the campaign. Peter and Halina previously owned a larger Catalina so were very familiar with the brand. They are very happy to be back on the water with some sails to play with.
