Adams 12 ‘Freestyle II’

Heading off from Cammeray on an amazing winters morning, James and Jacqueline aboard their new home and setting sail for a run up the coast back to Pittwater.

We wish them both a happy change of lifestyle and many days of enjoyment cruising this classic Adams 12 – Freestyle II.

Lagoon 420 ‘Duo’

The much in demand Lagoon 420 ‘Duo’ has just been handed over at Hope Habour, around the corner from the YOTI offices at The Boatworks, Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

‘Duo’ is a 2007 owners’ version of the 420, with a great specification to cruise and live aboard in style. This is a highly regarded model amongst the blue water cruising folks, still easily managed by a couple with room for guests and family, with truly tremendous storage.

We wish Rodney and Tracey a great trip along the QLD East Coast and hope to welcome them at the upcoming Lagoon Escapade – starting at the Coral Sea Marina in the Whitsundays, 3-4 September 2020.

Lagoon 421 ‘Retired By Friday’

The Lagoon 421 “Retired by Friday’ has just been handed over to her new owner Sarah, who was more than ready for the early departure from the Boatworks, at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

Sarah and her brother Hamish will be putting the catamaran through her paces around Sydney, and the YOTI team in Sydney and Pittwater are looking forward to welcoming her to the NSW waters.

All Lagoon owners are invite to the Bi Annual Lagoon Escapades, the next one just month away in the Whitsundays – you can find all details here.  They also know that the TMG and TMG team, backed up by Windcraft Service, are there to ensure the best ownership experience.

We wish the Bowmans many great voyages and fair winds!

Catalina 320 ‘Murphy’s Law’

It’s easy to see why the Catalina 320 is one of the world’s most successful yachts in their class, they punch well above their weight in terms of size and capability. Murphy’s Law was in great shape which Murray and Laurel appreciated on their first and only inspection. Murray now retired from a respected career in the Navy will take control of his own ship on Lake Macquarie. Happy sailing guys.

Catalina 320 ‘Solutions’

It’s the start of a new life in New Zealand for the Catalina 320 known as ‘Solutions’. For new owners Ian and Ang it was at times a nerve racking process with a quick trip across the ditch for inspection and survey, finalising the purchase and then managing all the trades for the prep work to get her ready to go.

Thanks to the team at the Quays Marina we managed to get everything done for her sail to Newcastle prior to being loaded – mast up – for the trip to her new home.

We wish Ian and Ang all the best and look forward to some stories of their future sailing adventures around New Zealand.

Lagoon 52 ‘Suite 2’

The Lagoon 52 ‘Suite 2’ is a familiar vessel on the Gold Coast, the Eastern seaboard and Tropical QLD.

At 52 ft the Lagoon is a magnificent fast cruising platform, with an impressive saloon, great outdoor living areas and the elevated pleasures of a bridge deck steering.

Set up for extended and self-sufficient blue water cruising, her new owners are looking forward to when they can take her further offshore, with high on the list a return to the magic islands of Vanuatu. We wish all who sail her fair winds and great new adventures.

Cloudy Bay 30 ‘The Huon Kelly’ – February 2020

When we first inspected The Huon Kelly, we knew we were about to be entrusted with a very special vessel. This Huon Pine beauty was launched in just 2006 but her style and craftsmanship tell a story of many generations of Tasmania’s best boat building heritage.

Anthony and Julie have been a boating family for years and fell in love with The Huon Kelly all the way from Perth. The test run on a sparkling late summers morning on Pittwater was simply an enjoyable formality for all. She will be temporarily enjoyed on Pittwater and then will be carefully loaded onto a truck for a wee ride across the Nullarbor to her new home on the Swan.

Catalina 470 ‘Migaloo’ – March 2020

The lovely Catalina 470 “Migaloo” was handed over her new owners Dee and Alan in Early March. They have just had their first dry day since first inspecting the vessel. They will be getting to know their new yacht and will get her ready in Queensland’s premier location of the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

They will be heading off for some serious cruising later this season and team YOTI wish them fair winds, great sailing and peaceful anchorages.

Beneteau First 47.7 ‘Sports Bar’ – January 2020

Not satisfied with one Beneteau First 47.7, the purchase of Sports Bar means new owner Jim is now a proud 47.7 fleet owner – well at least temporarily. Sports Bar has set the standard for CAT 1 race ready Beneteau 47.7’s while in this case still maintaining the stunning interior finish that these yachts are renowned for.

From the team at YOTI we want to wish Jim, his family and crew many happy hours aboard Sports Bar and look forward to seeing her on the start line for the 76th Sydney to Hobart.

X41 – Patrice Six – January 2020

We were very happy to get the call to sell the X – 41 Patrice Six. This is a thoroughbred well known to the Sydney racing community. With multiple Hobart’s under her belt, Patrice Six was always going to sell to an owner who wanted a slippery performer with a build quality to back it up.

Alex is getting to know his new speed machine on Sydney Harbour. Some boat birthday maintenance jobs will be completed and will include all new rigging. We very much look forward to seeing Patrice Six stretching her legs again on the Harbour and hopefully at some stage she’ll again venture south…
