Spot On is a 2005 Peter Brady designed and built Brady 48 Leopard Power cat, perfect for exploring the Australian Coastline economically and in comfort, now exclusively for sale with YOTI.
Spot on was designed with very easy liveaboard in mind and accommodates up to 6 people in two cabins with queen berths and 2 singles. She has a spacious saloon with great, near all-round visibility, and a gourmet galley with plenty of fridge and freezer capacity for long-distance cruising.
There are all the homely features such as air-conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher and sat tv. Over 700W of solar power discreetly mounted to her Flybridge roof, an 8KW Genset and 240L/hr water maker, truly make this a self-contained seagoing living platform. She has a large aft deck for entertaining, dining and fishing and for ease of boarding, there are doors to both the aft platform and sides, great when moored along-side a dock.
Spot On uniquely has a fully enclosed Flybridge, which is accessed safely from the cockpit. The visibility from the helm up here is superb and for navigation, there are multiple depth sounders, a great large GPS plotter and even an old fashion, full-sized chart table.
The owner reports that the twin Steyr engines will power her very economically at approx. 16 l/h whilst running at 10kts, giving her a truly massive cruising range with her total fuel capacity of 2,700 liters. Her tender is stored out of the way, on the flybridge aft deck and launched with a dedicated electrical dinghy crane.
Her builder and designer Peter Brady has taken great care to select the best materials for the construction of these power cats. For the hulls, Western Red Cedar is edged glued with Epoxy and vacuum bagged with stitched glass-fibre fabric to ensure an incredibly strong and durable hull below the chines. Above the chines and for the decks, balsawood is used, again with epoxy and finished with stitched glass-fibre cloth. The design feature chines and Vpods below the bridge deck, that form the CVD or Control Vapour Dampening, that ensure gentle lifting and a softer motion when travelling in head seas.
The current, and only second, owner has just returned from a trip around the East Coast and further north to the Kimberlie's for a special occasion and now has other commitments. She is now berthed at the Boatworks, Gold Coast Marine Precinct, Queensland.
